THE BEST MOVIE SAGAS OF ALL TIME
Today we will be reviewing the best sagas in film history. Which trilogy or epic franchise will be making this list of “best of all time” will depend on a variety of factors, including popularity, the strength of the script, the length of the saga, and the caliber of each individual film in the saga.
It was tough to choose just a selection from the many outstanding sagas and trilogies that have existed throughout the history of cinema. But putting these franchises in the right order is even more challenging. This is why we shouldn’t consider this list as a ranking but rather a showcase of the magnificent masterpieces now available to watch for generations.
The Lord of The Rings
An epic trilogy from beginning to end. For most of its 11 hours, 23 minutes, and 59 seconds, The Lord of the Rings transports us to middle earth and indulges into our feelings by emotionally connecting us to every character in some way or another.
One aspect of LOTR that has always stood out to fans is how it may positively change across its three distinct films. It accomplishes this without letting the audience experience boredom or excruciating agony due to the length of the films. Throughout its lengthy runtime, it keeps the story’s intensity high.
Watching the whole series is a serious commitment, and more even so if you watch the extended editions – Return of the King is a full 51 minutes longer than the theatrical version. But in addition, you’ll get movies that are almost like a “living novel” experience, offering a more succinct and better manner of delivering the story.
Harry Potter
The Harry Potter series took us on a wild, magical adventure, from a little child getting sorted into Gryffindor to the person who would eventually defeat he who shall not be named.
One of the greatest villains in film (and literature) had a ten-year buildup, one of the longest ever. As a result, the story was able to fully develop the intensity of the struggle that was taking place right in front of our eyes. This ultimately led to an explosive conclusion when Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows finally arrived on movie screens.
These movies have been so meticulously made, staying faithful to the tone of Rowling’s writings while also taking some daring detours. They’re among the best instances of book-to-film adaptations ever made since they don’t do Harry Potter any damage and aren’t hesitant to make adjustments that make the characters more complex.
Ocean’s
2001 Ocean’s Eleven was a remake of the original movie of 1960 starred by Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin among an array of superstars. The remake included another big group of stars led by George Clooney and Brad Pitt.
The success of the movie led to the production of two sequels, Ocean’s Twelve in 2004 and Ocean’s Thirteen in 2007. The cast just kept getting more prestigious with every new addition, including Catherine Zeta-Jones, Al Pacino, and Ellen Barkin. Although crowds continued to swarm to the movies despite waning critical acclaim, their success is sufficient to have given rise to the popularity of online casinos and games that players can enjoy on online platforms that make people feel like one of the main characters of the movie. Playing poker like Brad Pitt or blackjack like George Clooney in the movie is possible thanks to platforms reuniting the best online casinos. Ocean’s Eleven story revolves around a casino heist, and it’s one of the most legendary movies filmed at the famous Las Vegas casino Bellagio.
Star Wars
Twelve movies—separate trilogies, an origin story, a spin-off, and an animated adventure—all center on the intergalactic conflict between a brutal ruling class and the rebels who stand up to them. Some of the longest-lasting symbols of the genre were developed inside that grandiose framework that George Lucas conjured up for Star Wars.
It’s only fair to judge each movie on its own merit, which is why the original trilogy sits alone at the top of the 9 main movies. This is because of the influence these movies had on the development of different movie technologies and writing techniques.
These films managed to construct the most famous villain of all time, Darth Vader. It introduced the coolest weapon ever, the lightsaber. And it had the most amazing collection of characters whose popularity stands out up until today.
