PUNK FOR ALL
For those who know the band shame, then you know the UK members spent their entire adult life touring as riotous post-punkers (they’re first album 2018’s Songs Of Praise is a hoot). But what of those who like their punk adventurous, but without the feeling that an overripe drunk is distorting the speakers with anger? Is it possible to have that frenzied momentum with an undertow of darkness and despondency, but have it be accessible to those of us too old to be in the center of a mosh pit?
Well, get ready for shame’s new album, Drunk Tank Pink, which will be released on January 15, 2021 (pre-order here). Check out the Pedro Takahashi-directed video for the new single “Water in the Well.” If you’re lucky enough to be in the UK following the release, the band will begin a new socially distanced tour beginning February 2021.
