A story of loss, love and redemption, Bryna Turner’s new comedy follows the world’s loneliest (and wittiest) single woman, Carlo (to be played by Mary Wiseman), as she crashes her ex-girlfriend’s wedding to a man. Through a series of flirtations, conversations, and collisions with past lovers, old enemies, new friends and perfect strangers, Carlo strives to understand whether or not heartbreak is a permanent human condition.

AT THE WEDDING will have sets by Maruti Evans, costumes by Oana Botez, lighting by Oona Curley, and sound by Fan Zhang. Katie Kennedy is the Stage Manager.

BRYNA TURNER is a Brooklyn-based playwright originally from Northern California. She made her professional playwrighting debut in 2017 with Lincoln Center Theater/LCT3’s production of her play Bull in a China Shop. Additional plays include Phases of the Moon and How to Separate Your Soul from Your Body (in ten easy steps!). Turner’s work has also been produced, developed, and/or presented by LCT3, The National Theatre, ACT, Abingdon, About Face, Aurora Theatre, Clubbed Thumb, Colt Coeur, Diversionary Theatre, Out Front, Rainbow Theatre Project, TheatreSquared, WP Theater and others. Alum of Clubbed Thumb’s Early Career Writers Group, WP Theater’s 2018-2020 Lab. Recipient of a MacDowell fellowship; a 2018 Lincoln Center Emerging Artist Award. Currently teaching in the MFA Playwriting program at Rutgers University. BA: Mount Holyoke College, MFA: Rutgers University.

JENNA WORSHAM is a New York and LA-based stage director, playwright, activist and TV/Film director.
