He gets a mysterious call to reunite with one of his fans from High-School. He later uncovers his undercover side and is forced to partner with him to fight the CIA to uncover something more deadly.

Spy Kids (2001)

Who doesn’t remember the popular 2001 action-comedy that made us love the spy genre? When the agent’s parents of two get kidnapped, the kids step in.

They are welcomed to the world of being secret agents, with the mission to save their parents from the evil villain. The Spy Kids franchise produced over 4 movies in total but the first one is a great pick to start with.

Get Smart (2008)

Saving the world just got more complicated and comedic. This next pick features the two agents paired to work under a control agency. They are tasked to prevent a terrorist attack from an evil spy agency named KAOS.

The lead character is a bumbling spy, inexperienced and inadequate for the mission but his humorous antiques pay off well at the end. The cast features Steve Carrell, Anne Hathaway, Dwayne Johnson, Terry Crews, and many more.

Traitor (2008)

The FBI and CIA capture the traitor and imprison him. However, he escapes the Yemeni prison, assumes a new underground role in France.

He plots revenge by returning to the U.S to bring the biggest terrorist attack. It’s him vs. the intelligence.

The Exception (2016)

They say that All is fair in love and war. What if they both mix? This movie revolves around the protection of the English King’s life.

He gets a warning from the Dutch Resistance and a German soldier is entrusted with his life. He falls for the maid of the quarters, only to realize that she is the Jewish assassin at work. The soldier is burdened with either serving his country or pursuing love.

The Red Sea Diving Resort (2019)

Our next pick is a deadly mission behind enemy lines, set in Ethiopia in 1979. During the genocide, Israel’s Mossad agents attempt to rescue the Jewish refugees by using a diving resort onshore.

Their attempt slowly goes haywire as the guerillas start noticing the pattern of refuge and rebel till they hang. The agents are burdened with a death-defying mission which turns into a purpose.

The Angel (2018)

Our last pick of the bunch is based on the New York Times Best Selling Book ‘The Angel: The Egyptian Spy who Saved Israel’ by Uri Bar-Joesph. This true story revolves around Ashraf Marwan, who is president Naser’s son-in-law and special adviser.

He trades in his precious position by feeding intel to the Israeli Intelligence. His espionage takes a weird turn of events when he is close to being found as the treasonous rebel.  The cast features Toby Kebbell, Marwan Kenzari, Hannah Ware, Waleed Zuaiter, and more.

It has an IMDb rating of 6.6/10 and amassed a Jury Prize for Best Feature Film.
