Break out the bell-bottoms and platform shoes because Garry Marshall Theatre is gettin’ down with the boogie with Cindy & The Disco Ball: The Musical. The limited engagement runs Friday-Sunday, October 7 – October 30, 2022.

Cindy & The Disco Ball: The Musical time-travels back to a decade that was dy-no-mite! Colorful fashion, sensational songs, and disco dance moves bring an all-new Cinderella story to life. The story unfolds at a SoCal High School in 1976. On the flip side, a glittering Soul Sister with magic up her sleeves is keeping tabs on Cindy and her “messy” relationship with her stepsister. It’s a fun and fabulous journey through teenage self-discovery, high school romance, and four friends who dream up something big for the future – you know… the 1980s. The original musical blends the signature sound of the 70s, with bright lyrics and pop musical theater influences.

“Magic” is her middle name, but she goes by SOUL SISTER! She is all things glitter, wisdom and heart. Look out – ‘cuz she takes ‘Fairy Godmother’ to the next level!  She’s our guiding light in Cindy’s story and she’s Comin’ in hot with keen observations, a little tough love, and pop of magic when she needs it. Malynda Hale will have you spellbound!

Handsome fella TOMMY is a Junior at Palisades High and the editor of the “Falcon Focus” school newspaper. His passion is the news, but he’s also investigating his own love story. Hayden Kharrazi will win you over with his Prince Charming vibes.

ELEANOR is a FAB-U-LOUS High schooler. Step aside Mr. da Vinci, she’s is a visual artist who works in mixed media… and… wait for it… gum chains! She loves Tiger Beat magazine and is learning a “new” dance called ‘The Hustle.’ Abigail Kate Thomas brings snap and sass to this high school diva. BUDDY – a high school track star and future Olympian is a super cool guy and loves to roller-skate! No one can mess with his Tuna/Banana pre-game recipe! Christopher Baker brings this awesome athlete to life with comedy as his fuel.

Meet CINDY. It’s 1976 and she’s finding her place in high school. Her passion is photography, and she’s a leader in the arts movement in the city of Los Angeles. She’s finding her voice and changing the narrative. Jasiana Caraballo is our title character bursting with dynamic vocals and Cinderella appeal.
