The musical will begin Broadway previews on Friday, March 27, ahead of an official opening on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at the Majestic Theatre.

Based on the bestselling novel by Iris Rainer Dart that inspired the hit film, Beaches brings the enduring friendship of Cee Cee and Bertie to the stage, with a score by Mike Stoller, lyrics by Iris Rainer Dart, and a book by Iris Rainer Dart and Thom Thomas. The Broadway production is co-directed by Lonny Price and Matt Cowart and stars Jessica Vosk as Cee Cee and Kelli Barrett as Bertie. Mike Stoller‘s work with longtime collaborator Jerry Leiber helped define American popular music in the 1950s and ’60s. Together, Leiber and Stoller wrote an extraordinary catalog of songs that became standards, including “Hound Dog,” “Jailhouse Rock,” “Stand By Me,” and “On Broadway,” earning multiple Grammy Awards and induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame. His involvement brings a significant musical legacy to Beaches, bridging classic American songwriting with contemporary musical theatre.
