GHOSTS WITH HEARTBEATS
Jon Schnitzer finds warmth and wonder
beneath the bumps in the night

Jon Schnitzer
Something Spooky, written and performed by Jon Schnitzer, is more about heart than haunting. Yes, there are strange goings-on, but the “investigation,” while focusing on things that go bump in the night, uncovers the spirit of an altogether different sort: the spirit of a family whose hauntings are welcomed memories.
A minimal set by Jinsha Moore, with music composed and performed by Alexander Burke, Ricky Chavez shaping shadows, and Shar Mayer giving them voice, establishes an absolute spooky tone at the Broadwater Studio. In turn, it provides Schnitzer with the perfect palette to heighten his crisp and winning performance.
Schnitzer will make you believe in ghosts—and families.
