Now 70 years old, Bryan Cranston remains active in the acting circuit. While he rose to prominence in TV sitcoms, Cranston has gone on to prove himself a titan of the dramatic, be that on TV, in film, or on stage. Academy Award and BAFTA Award nominations have been aplenty, but it’s on stage where he’s landed the Tony Award twice. 

Most recently, he returned to the stage to lead a superb cast in Arthur Miller’s All My Sons. Taking place in London, on the West End, his performance was praised unanimously, as was the work of fellow stars Paapa Essiedu and Marianne Jean-Baptiste. It’s now a headline act in the streaming space, having ended its West End run. 

A “stupendously well-acted” show

Over the course of two hours, Cranston, Jean-Baptiste, Essiedu, Tom Glynn-Carney, and Hayley Squires combine to deliver a potent rendition of Miller’s classic play. A huge amount of credit, naturally, also goes to director Ivo van Hove, whose production was praised as being loaded with “so much alchemy it just dazzles and dazzles.” 

All My Sons was a huge hit on the West End, running only until March 7 at the Wyndham Theatre. However, stage plays now get a second wind with so many theatrical companies adopting digital platforms to keep audiences amazed beyond the stage. Via National Theatre at Home, All My Sons became available for all users to watch. 

Once it arrived on the streamer, it shot to the top of the charts, with The Guardian ranking it as the best show to stream in September. As well as its arrival on home streaming platforms, All My Sons also received a cinematic run. From April 16, it received a global rollout, with an April 17 premiere at Symphony Space in New York a particular highlight. 

Keeping Busy After the Close of All My Sons

From rehearsals that began in 2025 for All My Sons to now, Cranston has been exceptionally busy. Last year, he also featured in the films The Phoenician Scheme and Everything’s Going to Be Great, while this year, he lent his voice to The Sheep Detectives, Tangles, and featured in Chili Finger. On TV, he’s also been in The Studio and the Malcolm in the Middle revival. 

While the latter is what announced Cranston to the world, his most beloved work remains as Walter White in Breaking Bad. Despite the series finale, Felina, airing in 2013, Breaking Bad has continued to expand. It has a spin-off show, film, and even a casino online game. Breaking Bad Roulette Mega Fire Blaze fully leans into the cooking of the series for the setting of its roulette game. 

Engulfed in green and yellow smoke, sparks, and beakers, its clear ties to the show continue to help the roulette game rank among the featured games of the casino. As we’re currently in the midst of entertainment preferring to lean back on past successes rather than create something new, especially with its continued prominence, it’s somewhat of a surprise that Breaking Bad hasn’t been revived. 

Its creator, Vince Gilligan, is now immersed in making Pluribus, but Cranston says it’s time to team up with Breaking Bad co-star Aaron Paul again. The two run their own tequila business and take trips to Mexico annually, but they’re just waiting for the right script to come their way for a re-up. 

While he continues to be a huge draw on stage and screen, Cranston likely won’t return to the Breaking Bad universe any time soon. However, fans will be delighted that he and Paul are primed to link up on-screen again.
