iPALPITI’S 23RD FESTIVAL IS NOW A FESTIVAL-AT-HOME

Based in Los Angeles, iPalpiti Artists International is a non-profit organization formed to support, promote and develop the careers of exceptionally gifted young professional musicians, thus securing a future generation of artists who will pass on traditions of all time and carry classical music into the next century. Since its founding in 1997 as Young Artists International by the Laura and Eduard Schmieder, the orchestra, festival and musical-talent network known as iPalpiti (Italian for “heartbeats”) since 2008, has fostered the careers of almost 400 musicians from over 45 countries. “From the beginning, our mission has been to discover and support post-conservatory musicians, whose talents were destined to make them the leading classical musicians of their generation,” says the iPalpiti website. Some have called iPalpiti the “musical Peace Corps.” Here is Theodore Bikel introducing iPalpiti at Disney Hall in 2004:

Surely nothing can replace musicians’ live connection from the stage, but  iPalpiti — due to COVID-19 — could not bring its 23rd Annual Festival to L.A. this month. Now, its inspired young musicians from around the globe unite in their hope of bringing beauty into your life through an internet stream of celestial sound, vital rhythm, and eternal, loving energy.
