Animus Theatre Company presents a
marathon reading festival with an all-star cast
to support Circle in the Square Theatre School

For theater lovers, the chance to experience even one play by Pulitzer Prize winner Tracy Letts is worth clearing an evening. Animus Theatre Company is asking audiences to clear an entire day.

On Monday June 22, 2026, Twelve Hours with Tracy Letts comes to Circle in the Square Theatre, offering staged readings of five of Letts’ most acclaimed plays—August: Osage County, Killer Joe, Linda Vista, The Minutes, and Man from Nebraska—performed by an impressive roster of stage and screen actors in a unique marathon format. The 12-hour event, rescheduled after a snowy delay in February, benefits Circle in the Square Theatre School, the only acting conservatory housed inside a Broadway theater. The event also honors a legend of NYC theatre and acting mentorship, Alan Langdon.

Founding Artistic Director of Animus Theatre Company Jonathan Judge-Russo said, “This reading series is wildly invigorating and accessible, bringing together wide-ranging talent from stage and screen whom audiences can experience for a fraction of typical Broadway costs, all while benefiting one of the truly essential conservatories in New York, or anywhere.”
