Highly Recommended Broadway Streaming: PUNCH (Manhattan Theatre Club, League of Live Stream Theater)

A KNOCKOUT OF CONSCIENCE NOW
BECOMES A STREAM OF CONSCIENCE

Stage and Cinema called the visceral and relevant Broadway hit Punch “a knockout of conscience.” Now, Manhattan Theatre Club is giving audiences everywhere the chance to see what Broadway has been raving about when Punch streams live from the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre during its final week of performances, Tuesday, October 28 through Sunday, November 2, 2025 at the show’s scheduled curtain times.

Written by James Graham and directed by Adam Penford, Punch tells the true story of Jacob Dunne, a young man whose single, fatal punch leads to a manslaughter conviction — and, through restorative justice, an unexpected path to redemption. Starring Will Harrison, Victoria Clark, and Sam Robards, this electrifying Broadway production delivers an emotional wallop that Stage and Cinema praised for “showing what conflict, remorse, and humanity can be when stitched back together.”

It’s also an opportunity to see a breakout performance by Will Harrison, who makes an explosive, splashy, and frenetic Broadway debut, confidently strutting and grinning as the cocksure Jacob. Moments of emotional intensity — regret, confusion, shame — are punctuated by the role’s physical demands: diving, ducking, dipping, dodging. Every performance is cardio day for this actor, who we will certainly be seeing again. Harrison brings Jacob’s journey to life as an assailant and ascendant with humility, charisma and earnestness, making us invested in Jacob’s struggle.

If I purchased the streaming version on Sunday would it be possible to show it to our restorative justice class on Monday? Do you have any discounts available for students and non-profits?
